For the first few years I loved this product.The acid in the standard 3" Chlorine tablets eats away at the housing, threads and lid (yes, there is acid / stabilizer in the standard tablet).My unit is now at the point where the PVC is so gummy, I can't get the thing apart.The lid won't come off!
It took at least a couple years before this gum showed up but, it is unfortunate that they use threaded connections.I would prefer a lidthat has a snap-action type lock.
I'm torn as to weather I shouldget a new one and just know that it will only last a few yearsor if I should wait and not use one of these type of feeders any longer.
