Poolmaster 22260 Basic 4 Deluxe Pool/Spa Test Kit w/Case Review

My old Rainbow Lifeguard test kit was running low on chemicals, so I thought this was a good buy at half the price.My daughter has a bad skin condition, so getting the water chemistry right is critical.I have just refilled the spa with fresh water and tested the water directly from the tap.I was concerned that the alkalinity tested 310 ppm, 3 times what it should be, so I tested it again with the Rainbow kit.It tested 170 ppm.To see which test was correct, I tested with a test strip, which read 180 ppm.The conclusion is that I cannot rely on the Poolmaster test kit - at least for total alkalinity.

I would not buy this product again.When I next go to the local pool and spa store, I'm going to grab another Rainbow Lifeguard kit to be safe.
