We needed a cheap ladder to use this year, until we get the deck built around our new pool next year.Our pool is a Doughboy, but to buy a ladder from the swim store would be nearly $200!We bought this and it works great!I opted for the larger ladder, just in case the top step wasn't wide enough to sit on the edge...but it is, so I wish I had opted for the 48".
This ladder is not very sturdy when used with a 48" pool, but does serve the purpose...I simply bypass the top step by stepping right over it.The weight limit is 300 lbs and I'm 230.I can't imagine weighing another 70 lbs and using this ladder....I would think it would be way too wobbly.
Please keep in mind that you have to have a place outside of the pool that is level with the inside of the pool, in order to use this ladder.
