Surfin' Shark 2002 Pool Chlorinator Review

I purchased this to add to a similar one with a turtle head that I purchased at Leslie's. While it looks like the same design it is not. Unlike the one purchased at Leslie's, which has a screw on top, this one has a top that "pops" on and is held in by a small plastic ring molded into the head. I noticed the difference when I received it but figured I'd give it a try. I had some trouble then getting the top on but thought that things would get better after a learning curve. Wrong!

Yesterday the top came off and, of course, the bottom part and chlorine tablets fell into the pool. No big deal, I grabbed the leaf skimmer and got them out. Today I tried putting the top back on. After 15 minutes of "fighting" with the thing I finally gave up. It just doesn't want to go back on. I'm going to send this back and go to Leslie's to get one with a screw on top (about the same price).

Don't buy this if you value your time and sanity!
