I don't know why this item is in the toy category.It's been a month since I installed this and it is a really great mineralizer that keeps my pool crystal clear. I am using only a quarter of the chlorine tablets I used to.The water feels so much better than before and I'm running the pump half the time that I used to and this is July in San Antonio (sun does not remove the copper and silver like it does chlorine).It was easy to plumb, the only difficult thing that some poeple might not be able to do is to hook up an outlet to the pump timer so the mineralizer only runs when the pump runs.That isn't difficult to do, but some people not experienced in working with electricity should call an electrician for this.TASK Global Enterprises had the best price I could find anywhere and they shipped quickly.Two great big thumbs up.Given the savings from not running the pump as much and less chlorine usage, it should pay for itself in 1.5 years or less.
THIS IS A GREAT POOL BUT THE PUMP REALLY DOES NOTHING, PURCHASED A HAYWARD PUMP MOTOR COMBO ND PURCHASED A AQUA CRITTER CLEANED AND THE POOL MAINTAINS GREAT.
Switched to Leisure Time Free because of skin reaction but my hot tub water is not crystal clear.Switching back to Leisure Time Renew.Gave an extra star to In the Swim.Will continue to order spa supplies form this on-line retailer.
This actuator has been controlling my solar pool heating since construction 4 yrs ago. No problems. I like it so much that I'm buying them for my friends to automate their jacuzzi switch (then I'm next). But it is connected to a heating thermostat which i haven't priced. Finally, Im looking for a remote switch since uncle's pool equipment is 200' from pool (not accessible for even running wires).

These strips were somewhat confusing to me. I'm not overly experienced so someone else may have an easier time. I wanted to be able to find out what my pools water hardness was so these strips seemed like the right things to get. As it turns out, these strips have pads and color charts for "high range hardness" and "low range hardness". I was expecting one number to compare to. I'm not familiar with high and low. I called my chemical supplier and they were just as confused. Unless you know what I'm talking about, I'd recommend a different test strip.
A friend of mine who does very detailed research on companies, recommended to me purchasing a Dimension One Triad Spa. This was helpful because researching on the net provided me few definitive answers. I went down and negotiated a fair price with an outfit called Blues Brothers.
This is a good quality product.Attaches to the end of the Polaris and seems to keep the bottom of the pool fairly clean.The price was good too.I would definitely purchase another from this source.

I WAS USING THIS TO CHECK THE WATER TEMP IN OUR POOL.WITHIN TWO WEEKS THE OUTSIDE OF THE THERMOMETER CAME OFF FROM BEING IN THE POOL WATER (EVEN THOUGH IT NEEDS TO BE IN WATER TO WORK) AND THE UNIT WOULDN'T SHOW THE TEMP CORRECTLY...SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BUY A MORE DURABLE ONE, IT WILL COST MORE BUT YOU WILL HAVE SOMETHING THAT WORKS MORE THAN TWO WEEKS..
This is the ultimate in convenience, testing for ph, alkalinity, free chlorine and stabilizer.I have used them before, and I came back as a satisfied customer.I notice, however, that the test colors come through faded on these as compared to the strips I used previously.Also, it appears that sunshine can change the reaction, turning the color pad darker.I think Aquachek missed an opportunity to partner up with a spa chemicals company to recommend additives.After I get a test result, I am sometimes unsure exactly what chemicals the tub needs to be crystal clear.For example, aren't ph and alkalinity essentially the same thing?
For my bromine tub, these work great. Easy to use and give consistant, clear results. When I "tweak" my water according to what the strips indicate, it's always great water - and requires little maintenance. Other strips would give inconsistant results, having me add this, to counter that, raise this, lower that, etc. These seem to really tell you what's going on.
I bought this to drain a low area on my patio that fills up after heavy rains and results in dirtying and staining my concrete.I extended a hose from it to a downward slope to drain. The hose can't be raised too high as the motor isn't powerful enough to force the water upward but works well on a fairly level surface.It pumps slowly but eventually drained all the water off.Happy with it
These plugs are made of a hard plastic so they have no give.They hurt, don't buy!
I hooked it up and it works just like a new one. Good product at a lower price!
I bought the viio Turbo to replace a Hayward viper which finally died. The system comes with every part you could want including a presure gauge for adjustin your pump, a measuring tape for length of hose and even teflon pipe tape.
I have a problem with the ph reading on the test strips.I have yet to see the strip turn a color that lines up anywhere with colors on the side of the bottle, making the strip useless.The color is not the same tint or hue so I am not even able to guess at whether the ph is too low, too high or right on.I have not had any problem with other strips.
I was happy with my 380 when it worked the problem was that it just did not work often enough!! I recently broke down and retired my Polaris 380 and replaced it with the new Polaris 3900s. So far I have been very impressed.Installation was simple and it took 15 minutes to get everything set up.It climbs much better than my old 380 did and seems to do a much better job cleaning the pool.The main reason I purchased this was that I have been forced to rebuild my 380 once a year with all the plastic disposable parts that were used in its construction.The 3900s uses galvanized steel internals which should offer a substantial increase in reliability and essentially gives the residential pool owner access to a commercial grade cleaner.Searching online you can find these cleaners for substantially less than the MSRP and coupled with the trade in offers from Polaris it made it an easy decision for me.
We've used the Hayward Viio's for years - they were white - and blended right into the pool - you hardly saw them.They worked great!But when one needed to be replaced and we ended up with a black model, we got rid of it immediately.Who wants a big black thing crawling around their pool?We spent a lot of money designing a pool with waterfall, landscaping, and other artistic elements.I don't have any idea who thought black was a good idea, but it's time to go back to the drawing board!
If you have a problem with leaves in your pool, you absolutely must get this product!We installed our pool late this summer, and I could not bring myself to take down a stately oak that is far enough away so that it never shades the pool, but autumn rolls around boy can it drop some leaves.Plus the neighbors have pine trees and sweetgums that contribute their leaves when the wind is right.I was frustrated trying to use the regular vacuum because the hose and skimmer basket were clogging every few minutes.With the leaf eater you attach your aluminum pole and a garden hose, turn on the hose, and the leaves are "vacuumed" into a mesh bag.Dump the bag and you're done.It is so much easier and quicker than using your vacuum system, and it doesn't strain the pump, hose, or skimmer basket.
These fit and work fine in my Calspa. Not much else to say about them.
We have used our Intex Krystal Clear Saltwater System for 2 years now (during summer months only) and it's awesome. Only once per summer we have had to put in the table-salt (once the pool is full of it's first fresh water of the season), that's always at the beginning, when getting the pool ready for summer. Before we bought this system and when we first got our pool, we didn't know a thing about chemicals. In the beginning, we had to go out and buy chlorine, alkaline booster, PH balance increaser and PH balance decrease, plus test strips. Not only are these chemicals dangerous and expensive, but they are such a hassle to clean the pool every 3-5 days and constantly test the water levels to make sure water is safe to swim in. Now, with this salt-water system, you can scratch all those chemicals and the system does the testing and cleaning for you. Depending on the size of your above ground pool, you only need a few 25 pound bags of table-salt (can buy at any Costco for $5 a bag), and then you run your system for about 24 hours (when first setting up the pool) to get the salt to turn into chlorine. Your system does the testing and if there is not enough chlorine in the pool, then an alarm will go off. The system when on, will test the water and chlorine levels for you. You no longer have to test or clean the pool. This sytem will do if for you (along with your filter system). Also, you'll still need a skimmer to clean the leaves and dirt off bottom of pool.
This is my second Pentair Leaf Trap.Pentair modified the design of the lid opener. The previous model was harder to open. The pool service people broke it within a year. I ordered another lid hook and they broke that within a few months.I went with another brand and I was really unhappy with it so I went back to the Pentair. The modified lid opener seems to work a lot easier. So I am pleased with it. Now I just have to see how long it will take the beatings from the pool service.
It's a filter - it's not educational and it's not fun but it works great.I'd recommend it.
The Phantom is overpriced and really poorly designed. We just had ours replaced after basically every part of it (hose, housing, wheels, jets) had broken - our pool expert (NOT a Leslie's employee pushing the Phantom) confirmed that the issues we had occur widely among his other customers and shared some other horror stories.

This test kit provides everything you need to monitor the condition of your pool, the instruction booklet that comes with the kit is very comprehensive. A little light on the reagents for Cyanuric acid (good for 4 or 5 tests only), you may want to order extras when you order this kit.
While purchasing the product online, the prompts didn't allow me to choose among shipping methods before the final purchase. Unfortunately, I found out what the shipping method was only after the completed purchase. However, the only shipping method, U.S.P.S. doesn't work for my address. The post office doesn't deliver to my house, I have tohave a P.O. Box where I live. Consequently, I paid for a product I never received. I emailed the company immediately after the purchase was complete, but, I have not yet received a refund and its been months. I'll likely never see the refund or the product.Signed, a very unhappy online purchaser who won't use the service again.
We've had an above-ground pool for 8+ years. Besides strict chemical application and schedule, quality products are the key. With Natural Chemistry products and stabalized chlorine tablets, pool care products cost for us is less than $250 a season and the water remains clear throughout the season. The successful evidence of any pool product is the lack of problems. I use this product at opening and closing.
When I first placed the device into the pool it went just in like the instructions had indicated. The next day it was chirping so I replaced the battery. A few days later the device started to go off in the middle of a calm sunny day. I replaced the battery again. A few more days and the device went off in the middle of a calm dry night. The indoor receiver never activated. I reset the device but it continue to go off the rest of the night until I removed it from the pool and again the indoor receiver never activated. Upon observation the device was discolored where it sat in the water (about a week) so I had the water tested professionally, the water chemistry was perfect.
I purchased this for a 24' pool.It circulates much better than the pump that came with the pool and it works better for cleaning the pool.I use it with a saltwater chlorine generator and the pool is pretty much maintenance free now except for occasional cleaning of the bottom, changing filters and adding acid occasionally (although we really don't worry about that too much).
buyer beware - this brush looked great in the package but broke upon first use.

I was originally only looking at robots that could climb walls. I settled on a dolphin but when I learned that the pool place would have to order it I decided to keep shopping (I was looking for instant pool gratification). The person at another pool place recommended the nitro.
I ordered one filter cartridge for my granddaughters pool and was sent a 2pack of a smaller size, charged the price of the larger one while the smaller 2pact was marked at a lower price.
This thing is a waste of money- my dog (A feisty Jack Russle, just as is pictured on the box) quite literally couldn't climb up that stupid thing to save his life!!!
I love the way this product works, but unfortunately the flap brackets wear and break very easily.They are not replaceable and you need to buy a new unit.I did buy a second one thinking that one of my kids broke the unit by dropping it.I watched the second unit go under the pool ladder and get stuck.Because the wheels keep going the torque on the brackets was too much and they broke again.The brackets are either made of substandard plastic or there is a significant design flaw in the unit.When it did work it worked very well, but I don't think its worth buying a new one yearly.
When we first opened up the box and opened up the pool cover we couldn't believe how thin it was. Because we the leaves are falling and the pool is ready to be closed we put it on the pool. We will wait the winter to see if it holds up. I am very skeptical that it will stay in one piece through our windy Wisconsin winter.
We have the duck, and though it is cute to have it in the tub it does not float upright, try putting a bit of weight in the base to give it a hand.
I finally installed mine and did notice the pressure was lower at the circulator which I installed in the deep end. I in turn installed a "vector jet" in my shallow end return and this brought back some pressure to the circulator which now runs perfect. My pool cleared up after 3 days and I can now see the bottom clearly on the 9 foot deep end.
It is, without a doubt, the biggest inflatable pool you'll ever see...

I have used several different brands, but I NEVER have any water balance problems if I stick to these strips.I think they are a little pricey, but again, you get what you pay for:)
I bought this pool cleaner to replace a Polaris that worked (poorly at best) off the suction line of my pump. This unit works off of an electric transformer that steps the voltage down from 110 to 12 volts.It's pricey but thoroughly cleans my pool in 1 hour.It takes the load off the pump by working off an electric line and capturing even fine particles in a fine mesh, cloth bag.The bag is cleaned after each use - takes about 5 minutes.I did have some problems wuth the first unit I purchased; but the customer support was excellent.After the first repair failed to solve my problem; the manufacturer replaced the unit.The 5-year warranty also eases any worries regarding future problems.All in all, it's the best pool cleaner I have ever used.
